- Series: Church Planter Interviews
- Categories: Marriage & Family, Relationship Building

Ed and Diane Marcelle have been married for 21 years and planted two churches together. They planted Terra Nova Church in Troy, New York, over 5 years ago. Today, we caught them on the phone shortly before a mission trip to India (please pray for their trip).
In this interview, Ed and Diane share about the Northeast Region, what's developed in the area, how NE planters can get connected, and their own church planting story (burnout, calling, patience, accountability, friendship and pastoral care of your spouse, and keeping your eyes on Jesus).
"Ed wasn't even a Christian when we got married, and I was a baby naive Christian," recalls Diane with a laugh. "I knew we were going to be planting churches pretty soon, because when he became a Christian six months in, he would spend eight hours a day after work reading his Bible, writing like crazy, preaching like crazy and volunteering at the mission."
If you're interested in planting a church through Acts 29 and are in the Northeast Region (including MA, ME, VT, NH, NY, PA, CT, RI, NJ), Ed suggests you start by scouring the Acts 29 website for resources, and then connect with either himself or with Phil Taylor at his church, who coordinates the Northeast Region for Acts 29.
