Genesis Church is a newer church in the Eureka, MO area, started in 2006. Genesis Church exists to help people find a new beginning in Christ and become more like Him. Our passion is to see the lives of people changed by the Gospel and then see them apply the Gospel to every area of life. We believe the outcome will be that they will discover what it means to live as missionaries to the culture, living as a people who love the city of Eureka but do life with different values and priorities.
We want to be a safe place for people to explore faith, so our Sunday worship experience is comfortable and casual, but the content is solidly Biblical. Our music is contemporary in style yet has a strong focus on the greatness of God and the glory of Jesus. Preaching is expositional, meaning that the pastor seeks to draw the meaning and message from a given text of Scripture each week.
Our Community Groups provide people a place to do life and faith with a small group of people. Groups normally meet in homes, and focus on applying the message, praying for one another, and living the mission of God together. Since Christianity is a team sport and not an individual event, involvement in community is vital. These groups will help people build close relationships and develop a network for discipleship and mission.
Another major focus for Genesis is a clear emphasis on living mission in Eureka and beyond. We are intentional about finding ways to serve this wonderful city, believing that our existence here ought to make Eureka a better place. This includes partnerships with a couple of the public schools, and involvement with the city and Eureka Parks Department. We also give people many chances to get involved in the mission of God beyond our city borders, including work in the city of St. Louis, church planting efforts, serving the poor, a partnership with a ministry center in Charleson, MO, and with an orphanage and Christian school in Haiti.
