“Leaders Who Last” by Dave Kraft is a book for spiritual leaders who want to finish well. This is a book about winning the race, written by a seasoned leader who knows his stuff and has an extensive track record of running well. Imagine an entire bookshelf full of titles on Leadership sifted for tried and true nuggets of wisdom. Dave has read, taught, and practiced most of what’s out there for over thirty years, and has concisely conveyed the essentials that will help a leader chart a successful course and keep his eyes on the prize. This is a simple down-to-earth guide to practical Christian leadership, born out of Dave’s own practice and experience, not academic theory. As a friend and co-laborer of Dave’s I can attest that he practices what he preaches and bears good fruit. As the Community Groups Pastor at Mars Hill Church, I have the privilege and responsibility of raising up many group leaders. By emphasizing godly character as the vital core of one’s leadership, this book has provided greater clarity to my thinking about leadership development. I recommend the book to our leaders, and have incorporated it into our leader training curriculum at Mars Hill.
