Gospel Tweeting Contest

We had 95 entries for the Gospel Tweeting Contest to find the best 140 character or less gospel explanation. We need to choose a winner. Here is the original contest tweet:

“Looking for best tweet explaining the gospel in 140 characters or less. Winner gets copy of Driscoll's Religion Saves” (I am going to try to get a signed copy by Mark!).

Now, help me to vote for the winner. Choose up to three of your favorite by tweeting the numbers in order of preference followed by hashtag #gospeltweet. For instance: "@acts29 101, 98, 107 #gospeltweet" Some really good explanations are found at the end of the list so don't vote too quickly.

Tweet your favorite to @acts29 or to facebook or leave a comment at the bottom of this blog. Follow the votes on Twitter here:

As for quoting someone else, can you beat #85? "God saves sinners." Love it.

As for creativity, I enjoy #83, well done.

My final three would have to be#85, #83, #84

maybe there should have been some parameters describing who the audience would be. Because most of these don't make sense to an 'outsider' to christianity. using terms like 'sin' and 'Jesus died' don't really explain the heart and purpose of the Gospel.

My vote is still #53. Man begins dying as he walks away from communion with his Creator. God dies in his place , re-establishing that communion forever.

God made us to be a picture of himself, we keep screwing that up, God sent his son to be Jesus to straighten us out and to stop screwing up His glory.

think 88 does a real good job of explaining the complete gospel, although it should be Divinity/Community not in Chronological Order, i would probubly put soverignty with divinity and community

Divinity/Community Creativity Humanity Idolatry Depravity Captivity Nativity Brutality RESURRECTION Unity Sanctity Eternity w/ Holy.

(Good post, however, the bad thing about this post is how many people think John 3:16 is the gosple)

Jesus died in your place so: your past is forgiven, your life on earth can be purpose driven, and your afterlife has a place in heaven. Just believe!
